(9) Its potential to yield information important in prehistory or history (archaeology)."
Mr. Neville moved, seconded by Mr. Kearney, to recommend approval of the proposed
changes to Chapter 165 with the wording suggested by Ms. Lieber with the age criteraa set
at 70 years old, motion passed 5-0.
GO North Olmsted Dav: Thompson House
Mr. Neville said all of the siding will not be completed by October 20th but the siding that is up
needs to be protected. Mr. Dubowski, Ms. Egan-Reeves and Mr. Neville will help with the
project. Mr. Neville said evidence was found that the home was light gray with green trim, which
will be matched as closely as possible.
Design Guidelines Proiect
Ms. Lieber reminded the cominission that the design guidelines will be removed from Chapter
165 with the update. She would like to get the design guidelines updated and adopted as soon as
possible. There may be grant funding available for projects like this since the Landmarks
Commission is a Certified Local Government. Ms. Lieber received quotes for this project and it
will cost around $15,000 to $20,000. Most of the projects would qualify for 60-40 funding which
may be more of a hassle than it is worth due to the required staff time and effort that would be
involved. She proposed budgeting for the project and looking at additional funding sources if
needed. Mr. Neville agreed with that based on experiences with the Olmsted Historical Society's
schoolhouse project. Mr. Kearney agreed to save staff resources for securing funding for larger
citywide projects.
ADJOURNMENT
With no further business,,the meeting adjourned at 7:45 p.m.
.? // ??? ?°" ?,?
