Mrs. Murray the owner, Mr. Dever, a relative and the following neighbors; Mr. fairbairn, Mr. <br />Meike each came forward to be sworn in and review the request. Mrs. Murray reviewed that <br />at a previous Board of Zoning Appeals meeting she was denied a variance for her shed. Since <br />that rneeting the shed was reduced to a 16 x 9 foot shed. The size of the shed was reduced by <br />a total of 45%. Mr. Fairbairn .stated that the applicants have worked hard to improve their <br />home and he was present to support his neighbor. Mr. Meike voiced that the shed would not <br />be visible to any neighbors and had no objections. Boaxd members thanked the applicant for <br />decreasing the size of shed and decreasing the variance request. <br />W. Kremzar moved to grant Michael Murray of 26817 Sudbury Drive his request for <br />variance (1123.12), which consists of a storage shed and that the following variance is <br />granted: 1. A 35 square foot variance for a shed larger than the rear yard permits, <br />(code permits 109 sq ft., applicant shows 144 sq ft.). Which is in violation of Ord. 90- <br />125 section (1135.02 D1). M. Diver seconded the motion, which was unanimously <br />approved. Variance Granted <br />7. Mr. & Mrs. Mason; 23236 Sharon Drive: (WRD 2) <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Proposal consists of a new deck. <br />The following variance is requested: <br />1. A variance for an accessory structure in rear yard, (code does not permit, applicant shows <br />326 sq ft. deck). <br />Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125 section (1135.02 DS). <br />Note: Corner lot with cul-de-sac does not allow any structure in rear yard due to neighbors <br />required 50' setback. <br />Mr. & Mrs. Mason the owners came forward to be sworn in and address their request. Mr. <br />Mason indicated that the deck would be 16 feet at the largest end decreasing to 10 and a 3rd <br />foot squaring it of£ The deck is to accommodate patio furniture. He was not aware of the 50 <br />foot setback requirement until he applied for the permit. The board questioned if the applicant <br />planed to cover the deck. Mr. Mason stated that the deck would not be covered. <br />W. Kremzar moved to grant Mr. & Mrs. Mason of 23236 Sharon Drive their request for <br />variance A123.12), which consists of a new deck and that the following variance is <br />granted: 14?A variance for an accessory structure in rear yard (code does not permit, <br />applicant shows A326 sq ft. deck). Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125 section (1135.02 <br />DS). J. Maloney seconded the motion, which was unanimously approved. <br />8. Kimberlv Botke; 28550 Hollv Drive: (WRD 3) Request for variance (1123.12). Proposal consists of an addition. <br />The following variances are requested: <br />1. An 18 foot variance for a residence too close to rear property line, (code requires 50', <br />applicant shows 32'), section (1135.08 A). <br />2. A 16 square foot variance for accessory structures in rear yard, (code permits 512 sq ft, <br />applicant shows 528 sq ft), section (1135.02 D2). <br />Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125 sections (1135.08 A) and (1135.02 D2). <br />Mr. Botke, the owner and the following neighbors; Mr. & Ms. Yasher, Ms. Nichols, Ms. <br />Reynolds, Mr. Ellis, each came forward to be sworn in and address the request. Mr. Botke <br />would like a two bedroom addition for his growing family; his home abuts I- 480 and he owns <br />6of13
