CITY OF NORTH Od.1VISTED BOA12D OF BUILDING CODE APPEALS IN COUNCIL CHAlVIBERS OCTOBER 20, 2005 1VII1\1UTES I. ROLL CALL: Chairman Puzzitiello called the meeting to order at 5:40 pm. PRESENT: Chairman R. Puzzitiello, Members: D. Sabo, M. Conway, P. Engoglia and N. Althen. ALSO PRESENT: Building Commissioner D. Conway and Clerk of Commissions D. Rote. II. REVIEW AND COItRECTION OF 1VIINUTES: P. Engoglia moved to approve the Board of Building Code Appeals minutes dated September 15, 2005 as written. N. Althen seconded the motion which was unanimously approved. III. NEW BUSINESS: • Dennis Thompson, 6715 Stearns Road, (WRD 3): Proposal consists of a second story addition. This is in violation of 1305.05(c). Note: Exposed exterior walls of masonry construction above grade shall be faced with brick, stone or other material. Mr. Puzzitiello called all parties forward to be addressed. Mr. Engoglia asked if the owner just purchased the home or just doing home improvements. Mr. Thompson advised he had lived in the home for more than 20 years and was just doing home improvements. Building Commissioner Conway had no objections to the request as the existing section had exposed masonry walls. Mr. Thompson advised that the front masonry would not be seen as there was going to be a wrap around porch along the front. Board members voiced that they had no objections to the request. P. Engoglia moved to approve Dennis Thompson of 6715 Stearns Road his request, whiclx consisted of a second story addition with exposed exterior walls above grade, due to the fact that the existing structure also had exposed masonry vvalls. Whicli,is in violation of section (1305.05(c). M. Conway seconded the motion, which was unanimously approvedo • IV. OLD BUSINESS: V. COldIMUNICATION: VI. ADJOURNMENT': P.
