sponsoring an art show they could, however the City is not involved with Homecoming. <br />Mrs. Brown indicated that Solon is having an art show and looking for artists for an <br />August 2005 show. The commission voiced thoughts regarding holding their own art <br />show and loolcing at working with Community Council in the future. Mrs. Martindale <br />questioned if it would be feasible to have an art show on Recreation Center grounds. Ms <br />Wenger recommended the commission contact the Recreation Commissioner, Mr. <br />Disalvo for possible answers to any questions the commission may have. <br />• Board meinber B. Martindale to review the commission possibly sponsoring the Dover <br />Players Romeo & Juliet play proposed for summer of 2005. <br />Ms. Wenger reviewed that the city owns property along Butternut Ridge Road which is <br />now vacant and the City may have an opportunity to run a Regional Senior Disable <br />Transportation Consortium Dispatch Center at the location. If the consortium takes place <br />one of the cities NOCOP dispatchers and another dispatcher from the region, could use <br />the property as a dispatch center, thereby moving NOCOP offices from Old Town Hall to <br />the Butternut Ridge location. It has further been discussed that the Law Department <br />could possibly move into Old Town Hall which would be a financial benefit as well as <br />malce them more accessible. She is not sure if there would be any reconfigurations made <br />to Old Town Hall or not. Mrs. Martindale wished to receive more information regarding <br />the outcome of Old Town Hall before committing the Dover Players to performing a play <br />at Old Town Hall. Mr. Frazier briefly discussed the Board of Educations administrative <br />offices being relocated to the old Library building during spring break. Ms. Wenger said <br />she would update the commission as she acquires the answers to times and dates for the <br />possible moves. <br />• Set up a yearly award/plaque in memory of Marie Case for the arts. <br />Mr. Garland reviewed that Marie Case was very active in the art community and he <br />thought a student and or adult award/plaque would be a good contribution to her name. <br />He aslced the commission to think about the idea to address later. There was talk of <br />getting the School involved as well. <br />• Discuss possible addition of board members. <br />IV. OLD BUSINESS: <br />V. COMMUNICATIONS: <br />Mr. Garland reviewed that the Charter Review Board was looking for suggested changes. <br />Ms. Martindale advised that she submitted a suggestion for the Cultural Activities <br />Commission. Ms. Wenger advised that the Cultural Activities Commission is not a chartered <br />committee. Cultural Activities Commission is part of the Cities Codified Ordinances under <br />the administrative code. Cultural Activities Commission suggestions should be handled <br />through City Council. The commission should look at staggering appointments as well as <br />other issues by going through Council or the Mayor's office. <br />VI. COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br />VII. ADJOURNMENT: <br />D.
