.
VI. COMMITTEE REPORT
Education: Mr. Schumann said Jesse Dolar had been working every weekend at Frostville.
He is also planning on having other volunteers down at Frostville for the Holiday celebration
the next two weekends. All of the materials from the demolished homes have been cleaned
and cataloged and are going to be utilized for further construction.
Plaquing: Mr. Rerko discussed the plaquing process and reviewed the application for a
plaque. The information is submitted by the applicant, at which point the Committee can
verify whether the request is viable. The plaquing process can involve either a historic
recognition plaque or an historic landmark plaque. A landmark plaque requires more
documentation and approval than the historic recognition plaque. Ms. Wenger suggested
formalizing the application similar to the COA process and, in the future, putting the
information on the North Olmsted website, so that people may download all the forms to
apply. Mr. Schumann suggested creating steps for homeowners to research their home's
history, so that their application can be processed by the Commission more quicldy.
Archiving: Mr. Schumann reported that Mr. Sebring gave him the disc with Mrs. Van
Auken and her interview with three of the SITES students. It is a rough draft and Mr.
Schumann would like to work with the two students to create the finished product.
ADJOURNEMENT: Motion to adjourn made by Mrs. Davis seconded by Mr. Rerko,
which was unanimously approved. Meeting adjourned at 8:30pm.
v
Tom Schock, Vice
`
2
