CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />LANDMARKS CONiMISSION <br />OLD TOWN HALL <br />THURSDAY, AUGUST 17, 2006 <br />MINUTES <br />1. ROLL CALL: <br />Chair B. Lord called the meeting to order at 7:09 p.m. <br />PRESENT: B. Lord, T. Dubowski, T. Schock, M. Davis, P.Schumann, L.Thogmartin <br />ABSENT: D. Rerko, L. Orlowski, J. Lasko <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />III. OLD BUSINESS <br />IV. NEW BUSINESS: <br />Loraine Schuld, 25269 Butternut Ridge: <br />Mrs. Schuld is applying for a Certificate of Appropriateness for siding on her garage. She <br />explained that the cost of replacing wood, gutters, roof and painting the home. The estimate <br />she received was $14,000, which does not including the paint work. Mr. Schumann <br />explained to Mrs. Schuld that the Commission is responsible for maintaining the historical <br />value of the district. The Commission would prefer to maintain the painted wood as opposed <br />to vinyl siding. The Commission further reviewed Mrs. Schuld's concerns regarding the <br />restoration process, articulating the parameters in which she should work. Mrs. Schuld <br />described the current restoration work done on her home and her interest in maintaining its <br />integrity. She will submit to the Building Department the changes she is interested in making <br />and re-visit the Landmarks Commission for a certificate. <br />V. COMMUNICATIONS: <br />VI.
