BOARD OF ZONI11eTTG APPEALS MOTION <br />2006 INDEX <br />1. A 370 square foot variance for a garage (detached) larger than code allows, (code permits 750 sq ft, <br />applicant shows 1120 sq ft). Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125 section; (1135.02 (C)). N. Sergi seconded <br />the motion, which was unanimously approved. Variance Granted 6/1/06 <br />Sharon Coonev; 3270 W. 231St :(WRD # 2) <br />J. Maloney moved to grant Sharon Cooney of 3270 W. 2315` her request for variance (1123.12), which <br />consists of removing existing garage and constructing a new garage and addition to home and the following <br />variance, is granted as amended: 1. A 17 foot variance for a house too close to the side yard lot line, (code <br />requires 25', applicant shows 8'). Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125 section; (1135.06 (B)). Conditioned <br />upon the Engineering Departments approval of the garage entrance facing W 231St and existing curb-cut along <br />W 231" is used. Downspouts are to be tied into an underground storm sewer. J. Burke seconded the motion, <br />which was unanimously approved 6/1/06. <br />Linda Ann Hogue; 24261 Palm Drive: (WRD # 4) <br />N. Sergi moved to table Mr. Hogue of 24261 Palm Drive to allow the applicant to work with the Building <br />Department to find a more reasonable sized shed. M. Diver seconded the motion, which was unanimously <br />approved 6/1/06. <br />Keein & Elaine Muche; 23918 Frank St.: (WRD # 2) <br />J. Burke moved to grant Kevin & Elaine Muche of 23918 Frank St. their request for variance (1123.12), <br />which consists of an addition to their house as follows: <br />A special permit to add to a non-conforming building (1165.02), (Note: Clerk will submit special permit <br />report to council) and the following variance is granted: 1. A 2'/z foot variance for a house too close to rear <br />property line, (code requires 50', applicant shows 47.5'). Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125 section; <br />(1135.08 (A)). J. Maloney seconded the motion, which was unanimously approved 6/1/06. <br />ICI Paints; 4647 Great Northern Blvd: (WRD #4) <br />M. Diver moved to grant ICI Paints of 4647 Great Northern Blvd their request for variance (1123.12), which <br />consists of new signage and the following variance is granted: <br />1. A 107.6 square foot variance for total signage on a building, (code permits 326 sq ft, applicant shows <br />433.6 sq ft). Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125 section (1163.24 (B)). T. Kelly seconded the motion, <br />which was unanimously approved 6/1/06. <br />Vienna Woods Construction: 24002 Lorain Road: (WRD 92) <br />J. Maloney moved to grant Vienna Woods Construction of 24002 Lorain Road their request for variance <br />(1123.12), which consists of a temporary development sign for subdivision and the following variances are <br />granted as amended: A variance for a temporary sign to remain displayed for 6 months subject to review. The <br />temporary sign will be 6' high x 5' wide, 16' in from front property line, 25' from east side yard line and 200' <br />(+ -) from the west side yard line. (Code permits 30 days, applicant requested until completion of <br />development). Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125 section;(1163.33(g)). J. Burke seconded the motion, <br />which was unanimously approved 6/1/06. <br />Family Chrastian; 26127 Lorain Road: (V6'RD # 4) <br />N. Sergi moved to table Family Christian of 26127 Lorain Road their request for variance (1123.12), which <br />consists of new signs until the applicants have been reviewed by the Planning & Design Commission. M. <br />Diver seconded the motion, which was unanimously approved 6/1/06. <br />• Macv's qetition for reconsideration of the boards May 4, 2006 ruling. <br />J.
