The commission finds that body piercing at the proposed location does not create dangers to the
health and safety nor will it create any offensive noise, vibration, dust, heat, smoke, odor, glare
or other obj ectionable influences to an extent greater than normally resulting from other uses
permitted in the same district. Mr. Lasko sited that from his own observation the neighboririg
dry cleaning shop down the street in summer months with doors and windows open would have
more potential for creating any and all objectionable items listed in paragraph (C) than the
applicants.
The commission fmds that the use does not create traffic to a greater extent than the other uses
permitted in the same district based upon the information presented by the applicant, personal
knowledge of the members of the commission as well as information provided by Mr. O'Malley
specifically that it is more readily documented in either the Ohio Revised Code or the Cuyahoga
County Board of Health regulations which lumps both body piercing and tattooing and deals
concurrently in any and all of those rules and regulations whether they be legislative or
regulatory by the Board of Health.
J. Lasko moved to find that, in the case of Tattoo Faction of 30584 Lorain Road, the
proposed body piercing is a similar use within the General Retail Business District. In
relation to the specific standards of 112110 A thru D, the use meets the criteria based upon
the findings of the Commission and the use is subject to no further conditions. M.
Meredith seconded the motion which was, unanimously approved.
VI. COMMUNICATIONS:
VII.
