Mr. Schumann ordered 100 pamphlets from the EPA about lead in older homes. The homes on <br />Butternut Ridge are the targeted recipients. The Commission would like to mail out the <br />pamphlets. <br />Certified Local Government <br />The Commission plans to complete the application this winter. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Livint! History Proiect <br />The Planning Department SITES student went to Frostville to interview the Ruth and Dewey <br />Limpert and Mr. Bill Elliott. The SITES student, Kate Loeser, will be involved in <br />creating/editing the first pilot for the project. The SITES coordinators are interested in <br />organizing a living history day. <br />Doolitle Historical Marker <br />Mr. Orlowski is presenting a proposal for a approval by council for a marker outside of <br />Springvale. The Commission was interested in receiving funding from NASA for the Doolittle <br />marker, as NASA inay have an interest in the history of the marker. <br />COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br />Plaquing: <br />Mr. Thomas is interested in plaquing the Webster House, which dates back to 1860. The home is <br />located on Mastick Road. Mr. Thomas will work on the application with the owners. <br />Mrs. Davis said there is a home on Barton Road, south of the interstate, which was supposedly a <br />one room school house. The home is presently for sale.
