r . .
perpetuity, which the Commission unanimously approved 6-0. The members signed each of their
names for the documentation.
NEW BUSINESS
Charles Seltzer Materials
Mr. Thomas mentioned that the Historical Society had a collection of seventeen novels from the
former Mayor Charles Seltzer. Mr. Thomas was interested in loaning the novels to City Hall for
a display case including Mr. Seltzer's typewriter and some photographs. Mr. Seltzer was the
former Mayor who was involved with starting NOMBL as well as an accomplished western
novel writer. Mr. Orlowski suggested that they speak to the Mayor's office about setting up a
display.
Mr. Thomas moved, seconded by Mr. Dubowski, that the Olmsted Historical Society's volumes
written by Charles Seltzer as well as his typewriter and photogr•aphs be loaned to the city of
North Olmsted so that they would be displayed at City Hall, to include descriptive information
for the loaned articles, which was unanimously approved 6-0.
The Peaks House
Mr. Thomas stated that the residents of the Peaks home have received two letters of inquiry, and
the Commission has not received a reply. Mr. Thomas noted that Mr. Ginley is no longer the
home owner and that he was researching whether the home in question is actually the Peaks
house. The deeds for the home do not appear to indicate the Peaks as previous owners, however
the mapping may have been different more than a century ago. Mr. Thomas will continue to
research the home's historical significance.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
Education: There is no SITES student assigned to the Landmarks Commission for this period.
Archives: Mr. Thomas has been looking at the files and collected documents from both the
vault and file cabinets.
Plaquing: No new plaques are up for review.
COMMUNICATIONS
The Commission distributed copies of the latest Echoes magazine.
ADJOURNMENT
Mr. Schumann move seconded by Mr. Schock, to adjourn the meeting at 7:
.unarrirrrau,qlv awro ed 610. _
umann,
Approved:
sh, Secretary
2
