? <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />LANDMARKS COMMISSION <br />OLD TOWN HALL <br />MONDAY, AUGUST 13, 2007 <br />MINUTES <br />1. ROLL CALL: Mr. Schumann called the meeting to order at 7:00pm. <br />PRESENT: D. Thomas, M. Davis, T. Dubowski, P. Schumann, J. Herwick, J. Lasko, Jr. <br />ABSENT: L. Orlowski, T. Shock <br />H. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF NIINUTES: <br />J. Herwick moved to accept the minutes with corrections for June 11, 2007 seconded by J. <br />Lasko which was unanimously approved. <br />III. NEW BUSINESS: <br />Fire Station #2 Stones <br />Mr. Schumann suggested Mr. Schock could create a draft for a wall of some kind. The <br />stones may need to be cleaned, maybe SITES students or volunteers from Frostville could <br />assist with refurbishing the stones. Mr. Dubowski suggested building a wall between the trail <br />and the station. The Stearns Marker will be placed back in front of Fire Station #2. There is <br />no established time for the marker to be reinstated. <br />Frostville Five Year Master Plan <br />Mr. Schumann presented the Frostville Master Plan, which was approved by the Executive <br />Director of the Metroparks and the Olmsted Historical Society. Steven Knowles was present <br />at the Planning and Design Commission meeting, which endorsed the project. <br />Frostville Art. Show <br />August 12, 2007 the Kiwanis and Cultural Activities Commission came together to create an <br />Art Exhibit at Frostville. The event was successful, and there are plans to continue the Art <br />Festival for next year as well. <br />Mr. Schumann also introduced the idea of the Frostville Haunted Barn, scheduled for <br />October. The Olmsted Historical Society will use this opportunity as a fundraiser for the end <br />of the year. The cost will be ten dollars per person, with three dollars per person will cover <br />the cost of the company executing the entertainment. <br />IV. OLD BUSINESS: <br />Certificate of Appropriateness for 27304 Butternut Ridge: <br />Mrs. Davis moved to grant the Certificate of Appropriateness for 27304 Butternut Ridge <br />Road, seconded by Mr. Lasko, which was unanimously approved. <br />Proclamation for Mrs. Lord: <br />Mrs. Davis has received the information for Mrs. Lord's bio and will pursue speaking with <br />the Mayor's office and Mrs. Lord with regard to creating a Proclamation.
