CULTURAL ACTIVITIES COMMISSIQN <br />FROSTVILLE MUSEUM <br />AUGUST 1, 2007 <br />MINUTES <br />1. ROLL CALL: <br />Chairman Garland called the meeting to order at 6:45pm. <br />PRESENT: G. Yustick, J. Kepperley, D. Wahl, R. Garland, F. Curry <br />ABSENT: B. Martindale, B. Brown <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />Mr. Kepperley moved to approve the minutes for June 27, 2007 seconded by Mr. Wahl, <br />which was unanimously approved. <br />III. NEW BUSINESS: <br />IV. OLD BUSINESS: <br />Frostville Art Show <br />Cultural Activities discussed putting up a table for the Frostville Show. Mr. Kepperley will <br />print a list of artists, Kiwanis officers, and members of the council. Mr. Kepperley has <br />distributed some posters for the art show. There are 25 artists participating. <br />Mr. Kepperley moved to approve the selected 25 applications for the art show, <br />seconded by G. Yustick, which was unanimously approved. <br />There will be nineteen pieces in the High School exhibit. Mr. Kepperley has arranged to <br />have the top 3 student pieces displayed at the Homecoming exhibit. The Sun Herald <br />published a spot about the High School exhibit. Mr. Kepperley would like to expand the <br />school exhibit next year to include parochial and other schools. <br />Mr. Kepperley moved that the Commission distribute award ribbons for the art show, <br />which was unanimously approved. <br />Frostville's publicity department is sending out information. Mr. Kepperley is spending <br />$160 on ads for the Sun Herald and West Life paper. He also spoke with Jeff Gallatin to <br />ensure advertising will be placed. A quartet will play at the Art Show as well. The food <br />collection will be picked up by the city and will be overseen by the Key Club and Joanna <br />Hanna with Community Life Services. <br />Production at Old Town Hall: <br />Mrs. Martindale is performing a Mice Told Tales production. It is a three part puppet show <br />that runs for three weekends beginning July 27 through August 10. <br />V. COMMUNICATIONS: <br />VI.
