? <br />? <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />CULTURAL ACTIVITIES COMMISSION <br />MEETING MINUTES OF SEPTEMBER 3, 2008 <br />ROLL CALL <br />Chair Garland called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. at the Frostville Museum. <br />Present: Royden Garland, Faye Curry, Beverle Martindale, David Wahl, John Kepperley <br />Absent: Gerald Yustick, Timothy Ulewicz <br />Also Present: Todd Evangelista <br />REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES <br />Mr. Kepperley moved, seconded by Mr. Wahl, to approve the minutes of August 6, 2008, which <br />was unanimously approved, 5-0. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Frostville Art Show <br />Mr. Kepperley said his financial report for the show will be delayed until the October meeting <br />due to the Kiwanis' treasurer being out of town. <br />Holiday Lighting Contest <br />The Planning Department will forward contest applicant information to the Cultural Activities <br />Commission. Music Event <br /> <br />Mr. Wahl said there is no new information to share on this event idea. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Kiwanis Clastue Plavhouse Evenin? <br />Mr. Kepperley announced the North Olmsted Kiwanis will sponsor a performance of Agatha <br />Christie's mystery play A Murder is Announced at the Clague Playhouse in Westlake on <br />Thursday, October 2, 2008, at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $15.00 each. Wine and cheese will be <br />served before the play and during intermission. <br />Christmas Festival <br />For this year's Christmas Festival at Old Town Hall the puppet show will be scheduled for <br />December 29 and the music event will be scheduled for December 30, both beginning at 7:30 <br />p.m. An appropriate name for the event will be discussed and decided at October's meeting.
