j ?. <br />Retention of ]EIistorical Reeords <br />Law Director Dubelko's response was discussed. Mr. Thomas will review the current list to <br />determine which items the Landmarks Commission would like to display at Frostville and make <br />a report at the Januaxy meeting. <br />Website link / Boards ancl Commissions page <br />The Landmarks Commission members have been asked to determine what landmarlcs <br />information should be posted on the new Boards and Commissions page of the City website. <br />This request will be discussed further at the January meeting. <br />Certified Local Government Awplication <br />Mr. Schumann gave a status report on the CLG subcommittee's work on the application. A <br />requirement of the CLG is that members of the Commission receive continuing education <br />annually. Daneen Kassouf, public outreach coordinator for the Cuyahoga County Recorder, <br />offered to make a presentation to Landmarks members, which Mr. Schumann feels would make a <br />good first continuing education event. Mr. Thomas is meeting with Ms. Kassouf at the North <br />Olmsted Branch Library on January 6, 2009. She will research records for several homes as <br />selected by the Commission and report on her findings. The Lincoln House, the Palumbo House, <br />Dave Neville's coach house, and possibly the Schumann House will be submitted to Ms. Kassouf <br />for research. Director Wenger has been working on a Historic Preservation Plan, for whicfi she <br />has requested additional information from the Landmarks Commission. Also in progress is an <br />annual report. The current annual report draft will be e-mailed to all commission members for <br />review and comment. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Wikipedia proiect <br />Mr. Thomas will research the City of North Olmsted Wikipedia page and submit additional <br />information for inclusion on the site. <br />Review and approve calendar for 2009 <br />The calendar, as submitted, was approved. <br />Goals and proiects for 2009 <br />As stated in the draft annual report, Mr. Schumann recommended the goals for 2009 should <br />include completion and submittal of the CLG application, fund raising for placement of a <br />historical marker at Frostville; creating a speaker's program, cataloguing possible landmarks and <br />eligible properties for the historic recognition plaque program, and a comprehensive review of <br />the current historical inventory, which was agreed to by the Commission.
