'o <br />2. the proposal reflects a quality of design, materials and craftsmanship to develop <br />such character as to contribute positively to the landmarks district; <br />3. the proposal reflects design concepts such as rhythm, proportion, building form and <br />materials as to establish consistency between the new units and landmarks district; <br />and <br />4. the proposal includes an interaction of pedestrian and public space in a manner <br />consistent with the character of the landmarks district. <br />Roll call: Schumann, Thomas, Davis, Rerko, Herwick, Dubowski, Schock - yes; Orlowski - <br />no. The Certificate of Appropriateness was approved 7-1. <br />COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />Plaquin2 <br />Peake Marker - As of April 15, 2008 Ohio Historical Society will be considering the $750 <br />reduction for the Peake Farm marlcer. He should be notified next week at the earliest. A$300 <br />checlc was received from the Key Club for the marker. Mr. Thomas noted it will be about three <br />months after the Society receives the money which will then put the time for the dedication <br />around the fall. A fundraiser may also be an option. <br />Stearns Marker - The Stearns marker can be reinstalled and the approved stone memorial can <br />be constructed afterwards. It may take some time to find volunteers due to the work still being <br />done on the church at Frostville. <br />Frostville Church - The church at Frostville will be rededicated in August. The planning <br />department may purchase the landmarlc plaque. The approximate cost is $350 with the basic <br />language. The Olmsted Historical Society will establish the language and Mr. Schumann will <br />then submit the request for the plaque. Frostville will also be hosting a pancalce brealcfast on <br />Sunday, Apri120, 2008. <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br />Mr. Schock said the Cleveland Restoration Society is having an awards ceremony on May 17, <br />2008.
