1VIrs. Diver moved, seconded by Mr. Menser, to grant Fathead's of 24581 Lorain Road a 10 <br />inch variance for the south wall sigh higher than code allows code permits 48" applicant <br />shows 58" which is in violation of Ord. 90-125 section 1163.28 conditioned upon the sign <br />not being illuminated and that the applicant never requests a third wall sign for the north <br />elevation which was unanimously approved 5-0. <br />Welcome House; 29778 Lorain Road; <br />Request for variance (1123.12). The proposal consists of a new ground signage <br />The following variances are requested: <br />A variance for a ground sign located within the 35 foot line of sight triangle code does not permit <br />applicant shows 1 which is in violation of Ord. 90-125 section 1163.17 a. <br />Mr. Simon a contractor who did the worlc caine forward to be sworn in to address the case. Mrs. <br />Diver aslced if the manager or the owner was present and if not if the contractor had a letter from <br />the owner allowing him to represent them. Mr. Simon said that the manager Mr. Thomas could <br />not make the meeting and asked him to attend as he organized the monuinent setting. Mrs. Diver <br />said that either an owner, manager or a letter from the owner allowing the individual sent to <br />represent them is required. Mr. O'Malley said the issue is addressed in the board's rules and it <br />was up to the board if they wish to allow the contractor to represent the owner or it was within <br />the board's authority to table the matter and require the owner be present. Mrs. Diver questioned <br />each inember's opinion pertaining to tabling the matter and requiring the owner be present. The <br />inajority of the board members voiced they preferred an owner be present to address the matter. <br />Ms. Rudolph moved, seconded by Mrs. Sergi, to table Welcome House of 29778 Lorain <br />Road pending the presence of the owner of Welcome House being present to address the <br />board which was unanimously approved 5-0. <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br />Building Department Report <br />Replacement pages for Zoning Code chapter 11 <br />The clerlc advised that if the board meinbers preferred she would update their binders if they <br />turned them in.
