?_.
L
NEW BUSINESS
Cultural Activities Commission Web Page
Mr. Yustick reported the City is willing to provide the Cultural Activities Commission a page on
the City's website where information on the art show may be posted. Mr. Yustick inquired as to
whether commission members were willing to post art show registration information on their
own web pages. Other than Mr. Yustick, no members of Cultural Activities have a web page.
Mr. Schumann offered to post the application on the Olmsted Historical Society site. Mr.
Kepperley said those options could be discussed for next year's show as the deadline for this
year's registration has passed.
Roadwav Banners
Mr. Yustick spoke with Assistant Building Commissioner Dale Mitchell about hanging banners
across Lorain Road to advertise the art show. Mr. Mitchell told him there may be safety issues
involved but he would discuss it with Safety Director Thomas. Mr. Kepperley said in the past
the Kiwanis asked to hang banners. The Engineering Department said there is an ordinance
against it. Planning Director Wenger and the Mayor have also advised against it.
COMMITTEE 12EPORTS
Dover Plavers Update
Ms. Martindale reported The Children's Hour performance dates are concluded. Approximately
$900 in donations was collected. The acting was excellent; several positive comments were
received. However, Ms. Martindale was not satisfied with the staging, which she felt made it
difficult for the audience to see and hear the play. Artful Murder will be performed as originally
scheduled this fall. The musical will be scheduled for the first quarter of next year depending on
dates available at Old Town Hall.
ADJOURNMEI+tT
Mr. Kepperley moved, seconded by Ms. Martindale, to adjourn the meeting at 7:45 p.m., which
was unanimously approved.
era d Yust ck aj?
