Kepperley suggested a booth be included at the art show to distribute information on both
anniversaries. It is hoped Community Council will consider the anniversaries in their theme for
Homecoming and the parade. Another suggestion is an event celebrating the diverse ethnicities
in the City of North Olmsted. Obtaining business or community group sponsors for banners was
discussed. Per Mr. Kepperley, Service Director Limpert reported the Engineering Department
ruled that banners would not be permitted to be installed on traffic signal poles. Due to sign and
banner regulations in the City of North Olmsted it was questioned whether banners would be a
viable option. Promoting Dale Thomas' book on the City of North Olmsted was also suggested.
Mr. Schumann shared information on the various events scheduled at Frostville Museum in
2009. It was agreed that information on both the anniversaries could be added to community
events already scheduled. Mr. Kepperley will contact the High School to suggest art students
design and create posters in honor of the anniversaries.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
Dover Plavers
Since the previous report a few scheduling changes have been made. The auditions for
Children's Hour will be held on May 31 and an additional performance date of August 2 has
been added. The auditions for Artful Murder will be held September 6. The auditions for 3
Gems of Sherlock Holmes have been completed and preparations for the show are underway.
COMMUNICATIOlo1S
Receipt of the updated Council and committee information was acknowledged.
ADJOURNMEIVT
Mr. Kepperley moved, seconded by Mr. Wahl, to adjourn the meeting at 8:00 p.m., which was
unanimously approved.
G ra "C-hair
?f
ricia A.
