to post signs indicating vehicles are to share the road with bicycle traffic however that leaves the
bicyclists no protection. Mr. Orlowski prefers having the vehicles and bicycles share the
roadway to reduce the loss of residential property. Mr. Orlowski submitted recommendations to
Ms. Wenger concerning the Cedar Point Road bike path. He feels it is feasible to place a raised
curb with a bike path on the south side of Cedar Point Road. The retaining wall and three
existing storm drains may be a challenge, but it can be done and would make Frostville and the
park more accessible from North Olmsted. Ms. Wenger agreed the goals are the same, to allow
pedestrians, on foot or by bicycle, to safely and easily travel from the neighborhoods to the park.
It's just a matter of ironing out the best options and engineering details. Mr. Orlowski said the
GNMMTP is a long-range tool for City improvements. The plan will be on the agenda either
January 13 or 27. Ms. Wenger will e-mail the plan to Landmarks members and will work on
posting it on the City's website. She requests Landmarks members read the plan and discuss it at
the January meeting before the Planning and Design Commission meeting.
ADJOURNMENT
Mr. Lasko's abse ' excused.
