. <br />Cemeterv Imnrovement Fundraising Ideas <br />Mr. Schumann will approach the Olmsted Historical Society on cemetery improvement <br />fundraisers when they discuss next year's schedule. Momentum is needed to gather more <br />donations. <br />Second 2009 Landmarks Commission Sneaker Event <br />Mr. Shock called the Cleveland Restoration Society but has not yet received a return call. He <br />also spoke to Steve McQuillen who has declined the invitation to speak to the Landmarks <br />Commission. Public speaking is not his focus and if the City does receive a grant for historic <br />inventory or historic district expansion he would submit a bid to perform the project and does not <br />want to create a conflict of interest. Mr. Schumann said now that it is into October it will be <br />difficult to get another spealcer this year. Ms. Granfors will check the language concerning the <br />CLG continuing education requirements. The Ohio Historical Society presentation by Mr. <br />Harper may count for this year as well as Ms. Kassouf from the Recorder's office. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Tree on Romps/Fat Head's Restaurant Property <br />Mr. Thomas reported that the large landmark tree on the Fat Head's Brewery and Saloon <br />property at the corner of Lorain and Columbia Roads has been cut down. He mourns the loss of <br />all such trees and felt it should be noted by the Landmarks Commission. Ms. Granfors will <br />check with the City Forester to learn the circumstances surrounding the removal. Mr. Orlowski <br />noted that the City has an ordinance concerning trees on commercial properties. <br />COMMLTNICATIONS <br />Olmsted Historical Societv Event <br />Mr. Schumann announced there will be a pancake breakfast on Sunday, November 1 from 9:00 <br />a.m. to 1:00 p.m. to raise funds for Frostville Museuxn kitchen renovations. He also reported that <br />the Haunted Trail is going well. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />Mr. Lasko's absence is excused.
