W-4 <br />CULTURAL ACTIVITIES COMMISSION <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />loTORTH OLMSTED PUBLIC LIBRARY <br />MEETING MINUTES OF DECEMBER 1, 2010 <br />ROLL CALL <br />Chair Yustick called the meeting to order at 6:45 p.m. at the North Olmsted Branch Library. <br />Present: John Kepperley, Beverle Martindale, David Wahl, Gerald Yustick, Nasreen <br />Starner <br />Absent: Barbara Brown, Miguel Cora <br />REVIEW AND CORRECTI0N OF MINUTES <br />Mr. Wahl moved, seconded by Mr. Kepperley, to approve the November 3, 2010 minutes, <br />which was approved 5-0. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Holiday Li2htin2 Contest <br />Commissioners discussed dropping off Holiday Lights flyers to homes that they see lit up to <br />increase the number of entries. Mr. Kepperley said he submitted information to the Westlife a <br />weelc ago but has not heard from anyone. The deadline for the contest is December 13, 2010 so <br />the commission will need to have a meeting to announce the winners. They will meet on <br />Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at the North Olmsted Library at 7:00 pm. Participation this year <br />may determine whether the contest continues next year. <br />Art Show/1Vorthern Ohio Music Festival <br />The Olmsted Festival of the Arts brochure was submitted and Mr. Kepperley said the brochure <br />would include the logo once it is designed which should be prior to January. The commissioners <br />liked the layout and felt it was very informational and eye catching. Mr. Kepperley reviewed the <br />timeframe in which he would submit information to the papers so it could be advertized. The <br />commission will vote on the layout of the brochure in January once the logo is inserted, final <br />colors added and the application portion placed in line with the returned address section. <br />COMMI'I'TEE REPOI2TS <br />Dover Players <br />Mrs. Martindale submitted a copy of a letter that was sent to Frostville Museum member Paul <br />Schumann from the Dover Players requesting to perform a play on their new stage. Slle noted <br />that one of the dates could be in conflict with the Olmsted Festival of the Arts. They would like <br />to perform Midsummer's Night Tale. Mr. Kepperley said he was not sure if the stage was <br />completed or what is scheduled at this time. Mrs. Martindale said there would be no props just a
