The manufacture and logo sign which is stacked <br />requires the 1 ft 3 inch variance and the front setback is for the new entry element being added. <br />Mr. Mitchell said he has no objections to the request as what is being requested is minimal. It is <br />not uncommon for dealerships to have a manufacture, owner, logo and service sign. The <br />renovations are mandated by Hyundai and the owner has worked with the city to minimize <br />variances. The board said the building placement is preexisting and what is being requested is <br />minimal. The number of signs is double but owner and manufacture need recognition and a114 <br />signs are within the square footage allowed for the building. <br />Ms. Rudolph moved, seconded by Ms. Bellido, to grant a special permit to add to a non- <br />conforming building to CMS11-21: Ganley Hyundai of 25600 Lorain Road, which passed <br />3-0. <br />Ms. Rudolph moved, seconded by Ms. Bellido, to grant CMS11-21: Ganley Hyundai of <br />25870 Lorain Road the following variances: <br />1. A 48 foot variance for front building setback; code requires 75 feet, applicant shows 27 <br />feet, Section 1139.07. <br />2. A variance for 3 additional wall signs on a building; code permits 1, applicant shows 4, <br />Section 1163.28(a). Note: Hyundai and logo stacked is considered one sign. <br />3. A 1 ft. 3 in. variance for a wall sign higher than code allows; code permits 4 ft., <br />applicant shows 5 ft. 3 in., Section 1163.28(c). <br />4. A variance for enlarging and altering a non-conforming building; code requires <br />conformance to all setbacks, applicant shows violation of front yard setback, Section <br />1165.02(b)(1).
