CULTURAL ACTIVI'I'IES COMMISSION <br />CITY OF NORTH OLNYSTED <br />MINUTES FOR DECEMBER 13, 2011 <br />ROLL CALL <br />Chairman Yustick called the meeting to order at 6:50 p.m. at the North Olmsted Library. <br />Present: Gerald Yustick, Beverle Martindale, David Wahl, Nasreen Starner, Barbara <br />Schirhart <br />Absent: Miguel Cora, Barbara Brown <br />REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES <br />Ms. Starner moved, seconded by Mr. Wahl, to approve the November 2, 2011 minutes, <br />which was approved 5-0. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Holiday Lighting Contest <br />Ms. Starner said there were a total of 39 entries submitted to the holiday lighting contest which <br />consisted of both residential and commercial sites. The commissioners reviewed all of the <br />photos submitted and the following locations were chosen as the three winners: 5909 Columbia <br />Road, 24134 Fairlawn Drive and 23460 Lorain Road. Each of the locations will receive a <br />holiday ornament and a certificate, and their light displays will be shown on the local cable <br />channel and City website. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />North Olmsted City Hall Art Gallery <br />Commissioners received an art gallery application and photos from Jackie Chavez-Anderson. <br />Commission members looked forward to viewing the art displayed at City Hall from January <br />tlirough March 2012. <br />ADJOURNIVIENT <br />With no further business, Barbara Brown was excused, and the meeting adjourned at 7:15 p.m. <br />T -. <br />erald Yustic , ii i Za Rote, Cler of Commissions <br />Approved: <br />9?,?i?
