pine trees. The 5%z foot tall masonry columns with sandstone tops will be spaced aUout 6 feet
apart and have a 6 foot high hollow tube aluminum fence between them. He believes that the
alternative fencing is a better solution then the masonry wall.
Mr. Rerko said aesthetically the masonry wall was not required as only a small section of the
wall would be seen. The proposed fence would enhance the appearance of the site and reinforce
that the storage facility is a higher end storage facility. Mr. Malone said he concurred with Mr.
Rerko on the wall. The trees at the site are spruce trees therefore the new trees should be spruce
and 8 feet tall when installed. Mr. Bohlmann said he was in favor of the new fencing but
apprehensive of having metal walls and questioned the visibility of the new canopy. Mr.
Schmidt said the new covered structure would not be visible from Industrial Parlcway. Mr. Parry
asked if there would be any storage outside the covered area or lighting. Mr. Schmidt said there
would be no outdoor storage. The only lights are wall paclcs. Commissioners agreed that the
fencing and trees was preferred. Mr. O'Malley said the condition pertaining to outdoor storage
should be included in the motion.
Mrs. Meredith moved, seconded by Mr. Bohlmann to approve CMS10-37: Exit 2 Self
Storage of 31399 Industrial Parkway their proposal consisting of a new storage canopy and
site improvements with the following conditions:
1.
