suggested that is what he was asking, is that enclosed in a building. Mr. Crook answered "no".
Mr. Tallon questioned then why don't they do that. Mr. Crook suggested it is typically never
been done, it is large about thirty feet long. Mr. Tallon questioned if the compactor will be going
down into the existing dock. Mr. Crook answered "correct". Mr. Tallon suggested cover the
ramp let the truck come back down in there. Mr. Crook indicated it had never been done and
right next to it Circuit City has their trash compactor set up the same. Mr. Koeth asked what is
the traffic pattern of your unloading. Mr. Crook suggested basically the deliveries of a11 trucks
for this grocery store throughout the week will have a minimum of two trucks on a slow day to
about seventeen trucks on their heavy days, in the mornings, and no deliveries on Sundays.
Similar to the other stores their truck traffic right now go right to their docks, their is what they
call a direct store delivery in the back of the store which is currently there now. It is noted on
the building now that all deliveries will be from 9:00 A. M. to 8:00 P. M. and they will adhere to
that. Mr. Koeth questioned 9:00 A. M. to 8:00 P.M., were will the trucks come in, off of Lorain
or pover Center Road. Mr. Crook suggested that is pretty much operational, he thinks they
would come in from Lorain Road as usually they come in from 480 and rout their way into the
store Lorain would be the best access. Mr. Koeth questioned if they then go behind the building.
Mr. Crook suggested it depends upon the dock they use, because they come in , in the opposite
directions, they would follow the ring well around. Say if they are going over by Circuit City
they would go around towards Mills Road and back into the dock. If they would be going to the
north dock they would go around the card shop and then back into the dock. Mr. Brennan asked
percentage wise how much of the deliveries do you anticipate coming to the store are going to
use the dock on the north side of the building, as there is a dock on the north side. Mr. Crook
answered "correct". Mr. Brennan questioned if most of the deliveries taking place will be done
at the north dock or the back of the store. Mr. Crook suggested there are two kinds of deliveries
basically there is semi deliveries which are bigger and they only get about two or three of those
trucks, that would pretty much be split the way the store is split, perishables would come to the
north dock. Mr. Brennan questioned what type of trucks will make deliveries in the back of the
building, little bread trucks things of that nature. Mr. Crook suggested Mr. Brennan was correct
deliveries like Coke, Pepsi, and Frito Lay are in and out in twenty minutes to a half hour more or
less. Mr. Tallon asked if there were any questions from the audience concerning the proposal.
Mr. Vansack indicated he had a couple of questions for the representative, other Rinni's in the
area, looking at one on Center Ridge, one in North Ridgeville there is two entrances and a street
light, look at South Land there is three entrances in front of that Rinni's and a stop light plus
entrances in the back. He would like to know how big those other stores are compared to the
one that is going to be in North Olmsted. What are they going to do as fare as traffic, one
entrance on Lorain road, that seams like not enough traffic there it is already congested and their
going to make things a lot worse, and he would like to know how they are going to resolve that
problem. Mr. Sokol form Porter Road his question for the designer is what is the turning radius
of a delivery truck. Mr. Crook answered usually 55' feet. Mr. Sokol questioned what the width
of Lorain Road. Mr. Crook suggested he would have to look at the engineering drawings. Mr.
Sokol suggested Lorain Road is 60' feet that means if a driver turns into your property they
would have to come in from the other side of the street. Mr, Crook suggested they could clearly
make a turn into the site off of Lorain Road. Mr. Charles Jandecka who lives on Dover Center
Road, and works for the City of North Olmsted, and is familiar with the traffic patterns and the
way the City has developed in the last two and a half decades. He has no real problem with it, he
7
