M. Yager moved to recommend approval of the design as presented with tlie following
comments: the orange canopies be broken down into three or four pieces and parts; that the
potential curved top be identified below the word "Home" and near the exit; and that the
lumber canopy try to accommodate some of those same motifs. In the framing of the motion
Mr. Yager requested that the following comments be forwarding to plamiing commission: he
strongly objects to the idea of back of the house elements working their way to the front of a
prominent strip center. The motion was seconded by B. Zergott and unanunously approved.
It was announced that this proposal will be heard at planning commission on Tuesday, June 9,
1998 at 7:30 P.M. Mr. Perisi agreed to have plans ready in time for that meetmg. When the
elevations come in, Mr. Zergott noted they can be submitted to Mr. Liggett for approval.
Mr. Perisi thanked the City of North Olmsted and the members of all boards and commission's
for taking the time to review this proposal. Additionally he thanked the architectural review
board members directly for oailing this special meeting to accommodate the developer.
Assistant Building Commissioner Rymarczyk added to the agenda the signage package for
t'rreat Northern Shopping Center. During general discussion the members noted they would
prefer the letters to be reduced to a maximum height of five (5') feet.
VI. ADJOURNMENT: The meeting was adjourned at 7:00 P.M.
B.
.
? G
A. Cornisli, Clerk of Commissions
0
0
