. ". ?
history that this corner deserves. The Architectural Review Board would like to talk to the
Landmarks Cotmnission to find out what their board is looking for as far as design. The
service area should not be facing Lorain road, the safety issue regarding the drive-through
? should be looked at and new accurate colored renderings from a street level should be
- submitted. One of the Architectural Review Board members will talk to Landmarks to get
their opinion. The Architectural Review Board will then get back with you so everything
can be addressed before you return to our board next month. Ms. Schulz commented that
the board understood all the steps and time the applicants have put into getting their
proposal this far, but this board would be remiss if we did not voice our concerns. Mr.
Wojtila indicated that he would look at the suggestions, but did not think having the drive-
through on the west side of the building would work. Mr. Zergott commented that he
wanted the proposal to return the following month. The Architectural Review Board
would talk with the Landmarks Commissions within the next 30 day time frame and get
back with the applicants. That way they would be ready to go back to the I'lanning
Commission by the end of November. Mr. Wojtila indicated that CVS was open to looking
at making additional changes. He further commented that the residents did not want the
service area in the back of the site. Mr. Self commented that he would like to hear
comments on the monument signs. The colors of the signs are adjustable, during the
daytime the white letters are seen without being lit-up, at night when they are lit-up the
letters appear opaque and are the only thing seen. Mr. Yager indicated he liked the color
of the brick and did not have a problem with the location of the monument sign. Mr.
Rymarczyk indicated that if the proposed signage is what is indicated in the current
package the applicants would need about 15 variances for signage alone. Ms. Schulz
commented that the current sign package was too much. She commented that if Mr. Self
was asking for approval for all the signs he would not get it, as there are too many signs
? being requested. Mr. Self indicated that he was just addressing the monument sign. Mr.
?
Liggett indicated that the corner ground sign needed to be in proportion to the building.
B. Zergott moved to table CVS Pharmacy; PP#'s 235-11-009 to 013 and 235-11-047 their
proposal which consists of the demolition of three existing buildings and the construction
of a new 10,125 square foot retail pharmacy. All parcels are zoned for this use except one
that is currently used for parking and will remain as such. Proposal Tabled.
Mr. Yager commented that within the next 30 days, the Architectural Review Board will
talk to the Landmarks Commission and get back with CVS so they can be prepared for the
next meeting. Then they will be able to go on to the Planning Commission and Council for
final approval.
VI. ADJOURN-MENT:
B. Zergott motioned to adjourn the meeting. The motion was seconded by K Schulz and
unanimously approved. Meeting adjourned at 9:00pm.
(? 9
0 Brian Zergott,
G
Donna Rote, Clerk of Commissions
11
