City of North Olmsted <br />Landmarks Commission <br />Minutes of ineeting <br />Novemtaer 8, 1999 <br />The meeting was called to order by acting chair, lVlrs. Befty Lord. Those in attendance <br />were: Chuck Miller, Kate O'Rourke, Lois VanAuken, and nominated member Paul <br />Barker. Absent: Mike Gareau, Joe Lang, Tony Smeraldi. <br />Old Business: <br />'Fo the best of otar knowledge Town Hall will be our meeting place for the <br />forseeable future. " <br />The services of a secretary have yet to be determined. <br />CLC application information has been receiued from OHS and turned over to <br />the Law Department for review as to eligibility. In 1985 we received a grant to <br />determine eligibility for CLG. V1oe inventoried property built prior to 1920 and created a <br />survey. We are NC?T a CLG. We have: <br />an historic district <br />a survey of properties constructed before 1920 <br />landmarks listed on the National Register (There was a discussion af "missbng" <br />plaque at the Barton Rd. Congregational Church. Motion:Request a written reply from the CraceFellowship Church as to the disposition <br />of the "missing " plaque. <br />Is there a'handbook for members? No <br />IVIr. Barker mentioned that #he Commission heads met with the Nlayor at Springvale <br />and noted that Landmarks was NOT present. <br />Mr. Barker and Mrs. Lord have agreed to help with the budget <br />There is a need for a roster of inembers <br />We have rever had by-laws because they were not needed. iVlaybe now if we pursue <br />CLG status we will have to have them. <br />Are the members af this Commission "IegaP" if we have not been sworn in? <br />We are lacking a copy of the "Department of the Interior Standards" <br />What const6tutes a quorum? <br />What is the condition of the state historie markers: Bre4ton Ridge, Coe Ridge, Coe <br />Cemetary, Butternut Cemetary, Library, Parker's Ranch.
