.?
was only one set of lights in the parking lot. Mr. Schmitz indicated that at the Planning
Commission meeting Mr. Waldron indicated that all cars would be washed inside the building,
and asked Mr. Waldron if he was correct. Mr. Waldron indicated he was correct. Mrs. Schmitz
reviewed that, that today the cars were being washed outside when they are supposed to be done
inside. Mr. Schmitz commented that the owners, always agree to do something at the board
meetings then as soon as they leave they do what they want. Mr. Gomersall asked what type of
power wash was being used. Mr. Waldron indicated it was a portable machine the size of a 3
horse power lawn mower. Mr. Schmitz suggested the commercial owners do not respect the
residents that live in the area. Mr. Gomersall asked Mr. Rymarczyk about the sound coming
from the retailers and if something could be done. Mr. Rymarczyk indicated that when the
building department receives a complaint, they register how loud it is over and above what is
allowed at the property line. Mr. Gareau reviewed that the city had an ordinance that permits the
ordering of drive through systems, and that they have to be shut off, he thought at 11:OOpm on
weekends. Mr. Rymarczyk suggested the residents call the police department and file a
complaint. Mr. Schmitz indicated that the system could be heard at 9:30pm to 10:30pm
throughout the week. Mr. Gareau indicated that the time was permissible, but depending on how
close the resident was to the property there was also an ordinance that dictates the sound decibels
at the lot line which should not be exceeded. An unidentified audience member indicated that if
the residents followed the proper complaint system the city would check the sound and make
them comply. Mr. Waldron indicated he would remove the intercom system the following day.
Mr. Gomersall suggested the owners should look at the complaints of the residents and address
them. Mr. Koberna suggested the owner look into a new paging system. Mr. Berkovitz
indicated that the glass would be put in place to expand the show room. 1V1r. Gomersall asked if
any of the board members had any further questions. No further comments were made.
W.
