Mr. Schmitz indicated that at the Planning <br />Commission meeting Mr. Waldron indicated that all cars would be washed inside the building, <br />and asked Mr. Waldron if he was correct. Mr. Waldron indicated he was correct. Mrs. Schmitz <br />reviewed that, that today the cars were being washed outside when they are supposed to be done <br />inside. Mr. Schmitz commented that the owners, always agree to do something at the board <br />meetings then as soon as they leave they do what they want. Mr. Gomersall asked what type of <br />power wash was being used. Mr. Waldron indicated it was a portable machine the size of a 3 <br />horse power lawn mower. Mr. Schmitz suggested the commercial owners do not respect the <br />residents that live in the area. Mr. Gomersall asked Mr. Rymarczyk about the sound coming <br />from the retailers and if something could be done. Mr. Rymarczyk indicated that when the <br />building department receives a complaint, they register how loud it is over and above what is <br />allowed at the property line. Mr. Gareau reviewed that the city had an ordinance that permits the <br />ordering of drive through systems, and that they have to be shut off, he thought at 11:OOpm on <br />weekends. Mr. Rymarczyk suggested the residents call the police department and file a <br />complaint. Mr. Schmitz indicated that the system could be heard at 9:30pm to 10:30pm <br />throughout the week. Mr. Gareau indicated that the time was permissible, but depending on how <br />close the resident was to the property there was also an ordinance that dictates the sound decibels <br />at the lot line which should not be exceeded. An unidentified audience member indicated that if <br />the residents followed the proper complaint system the city would check the sound and make <br />them comply. Mr. Waldron indicated he would remove the intercom system the following day. <br />Mr. Gomersall suggested the owners should look at the complaints of the residents and address <br />them. Mr. Koberna suggested the owner look into a new paging system. Mr. Berkovitz <br />indicated that the glass would be put in place to expand the show room. 1V1r. Gomersall asked if <br />any of the board members had any further questions. No further comments were made. <br />W. Kremzar motioned to approve Dae Woo Automotive of 27881 Lorain Road their request for <br />variance (1123.12). Which consists of expanding the existing showroom, which will include the <br />existing canopy and overhang, and that the following variances be granted: <br />1). A special permit to add to a non-conforming building, (1123.11). <br />2). A variance to alter a non-conforming building, (1165.02 ). <br />Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125 sections, (1165.02) and (1123.11). The motion was <br />seconded by, T. Koberna and unanimously approved. Vareances and Special PeranYt Granted. <br />R. Gomersall motioned to table the requests of Donatos Pizza and No Excuses until the next <br />regularly scheduled meeting. The motion was seconded by, J. Maloney and unanimously <br />approved.
