ROLL CALL: <br />Chairman Tallon called the meeting came to order at 8:00pm. <br />PRESENT: Chairman R. Tallon and Board Members K. ORourke, S. Asseff, and W. Spalding <br />ALSO PRESENT: Asst. Law Director J. Dubelko, Asst. Building Commissioner T. Rymarczyk, <br />and Asst. Clerk of Commissions K. Fallon <br />ABSENT: Board Members B. Koeth, T. Hreha and C. Allan <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF 1VaN[JTES: The minutes of May 9, 2000 Planning <br />Commission meeting have been submitted for approval. <br />Chairman Tallon motioned to approve the minutes of May 9, 2000 as written and submitted. The <br />motion was seconded by W. Spalding and unanimously approved. <br />.r <br />III. BUlI,D1NG DEPARTMENT REQUESTS: <br />1. Brooklor Shopping Center - 25905-26035 Lorain Rd.: <br />Proposal consists of installation of a new loading door and revised parking layout. <br />Note: Planning Commission refened this proposal to the Board of Zoning Appeals April 25, <br />2000. The Board of Zoning Appeals granted the variance requested May 4, 2000. <br />Chairman Tallon called all interested parties forward to review the request. Mr. Soclof, a <br />representative of Brooklor LCC, came forward to review the request. Mr. Soclof reviewed that <br />Board of Zoning Appeals has already approved the variances for this proposal. Mr. Asseff <br />questioned if there would be semi-trucks using the loading dock. Mr. Soclof indicated the new <br />loading door is for the Golf Galaxy, which just moved into the building. Golf Galaxy only <br />receives small packages. Mr. Asseff questioned if the largest truck would be the size of a UPS <br />truck. Mr. Soclof replied "yes." Mr. Asseff indicated that a larger truck would have trouble <br />maneuvering the turns of the way it is presently.. Mr. Soclof indicated there would be a landscape <br />screening directly in front of the loading door, which would not be any visibility from Lorain Rd. <br />He also indicated that there would be two handicapped spaces placed directly in front of the <br />screening as part of the overall screening. Mr. Spalding questioned if customers would be using <br />the loading dock as well. Mr. Soclof replied no, the door would be used exclusively for delivery <br />of small packages. Mr. Asseff questioned what the elevation of the floor in the loading area <br />would be. Mr. Richard indicated it would ground level and not raised. No further comments were <br />made. R. Tallon motioned to approve the proposal of Brooklor Shopping Center of 25905-26035 <br />Lorain Rd. the proposal, which consists of installation of a new loading door and revised parking
