CHAMBERS <br />At 7:30pm <br />I. ROLL CALL: <br />Chairman, Puzzitiello called the meeting to order at 7:40pm. <br />PRESENT: Chairman, Puzzitiello, Board members, M. Conway, and P. Engoglia. <br />ABSENT: Board members, D. Spoerke and R. Klesta. <br />ALSO PRESENT: Assistant Building Commissioner, T. Rymarczyk, Clerk of Commissions, D. <br />Rote, and Assistant Clerk of Commissions, S. Solomon. <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: The Board of Building Codes of Appeals <br />minutes dated August 17, 2000 have been submitted for approval. <br />P. Engoglia motioned to approve the Building Board of Appeals minutes dated August 17, 2000 <br />as submitted. The motion was seconded by M. Conway and unanimously approved. <br />III. BUILDING DEPARTMENT REQUESTS: <br />Wiebusch/Latina & Latina; 3445 Bridgeport S/L 20: <br />A 2 inch width variance for basement stairway, (code requires 36inches applicant shows <br />341nches), (which is in violation of section 314). <br />Mr. Latina & Mrs. Latina, the builders and Mr. Wiebusch, the homeowner, came forward to <br />review the proposal. Mr. Latina indicated that the carpenter mistakenly ordered the wrong size <br />stairs. By the time the mistake was noticed it was impossible to correct, as the stairwell is load <br />barring. Mr. Wiebusch, the owner indicated that the size of the stairs was fine for him and he <br />was willing to accept them measuring 34 inches. <br />P. Engoglia motioned to grant Wiebusch/Latina & Latina of 3445 Bridgeport S/L 20; A 2 inch <br />width variance for basement stairway, (code requires 36inches applicant shows 34inches), <br />(which is in violation of section 314). The motion was seconded by M. Conway, roll call on the <br />motion; P. Engoglia and M. Conway: "yes", R. Puzzitiello: "abstain". Vaa-iance Granted. <br />2. Kisemaker/Latina & Latina: 23234 Woodview Drive: <br />A 2 inch width variance for basement stairway, (code requires 36 inches applicant shows 34 <br />inches), (which is in violation of section 314). <br />Mr. Latina & Mrs. Latina, the builders were present to review the proposal. It was noted that the <br />a letter was received by the homeowner (Mr. & Mrs. Kisemaker) indicating that they had no <br />objections to the size of the stairs. No further comments were made.
