<br />? <br />CITY OF NOIZTH OLMSTED <br />"TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE" <br />SOARD OF BiTII.DING CODE APPEALS <br />MINUTES NOVEMBER 20, 2001 <br />AT 5:30 PM <br />IN COUNCIL CHAlVIBERS <br />ROLL CALL: <br />Chairman, Puzzitiello called the meeting to order at.5:35 p.m. • <br />PRESENT: Chairman, R. Puzzitiello, Board members; R. Klesta, M. Conway- and N. <br />Althen. <br />ALSO PRESENT: Asst. Law Director; James Dubelko, Building Inspectors; T. Rymarczyk <br />and L. Cifranic; Asst. Clerk of Gommissions, S. Solomon. <br />ABSENT: Baard member; P. Engolia. <br />II. RJEVIEW AND CORRECTfON OF MINUTES: <br />The minutes from November 5, 2001 have been submitted for review. <br />M. Conway motioned to approve the Board of Building Code Appeals minutes dated <br />November 5,. 2001 as written. The motion was seconded by R. Klesta and was <br />unanimously approved: Approved. <br />III. BLTILDING DEPARTMENT REQUESTS: <br />Ms. Hanne Boger; Rasmussen Homes <br />Proposal consists of a request to revoke contractors registration in the City of North <br />Olmsted in accordance with section 1317.07. <br />Chairman Puzzitiello called all interested parties forward to review the case. Ms. Boger <br />came forward. Mr. Puzzitiello questioned if she was the contractor. Ms. Boger replied <br />yes. Mr. Puzzitiello questioned if her company was licensed with the state or if she ha,d a <br />state number. Ms. Boger replied no. Mr. Puzzitiello questioned how she took care of her <br />taxes. Ms. Boger indicated that she thought he meant a contractor license. She is licensed <br />with the State, but she doesn't have a contractors license with the State. She indicated that <br />she had come here tonight to ask for a continuance. She received the notice the day prior <br />to this meeting and she had no time to prepare. She is in no position to answer questions. <br />She spoke with Tom Rymaxczyk and asked if she could have a continuance. He told her <br />that she would have to come here tonight in person to ask for a continuance. She is totally <br />not prepared to answer questions and didn't have time to confer with anyone about this. <br />She just did no't want to not show up. Mr. Puzzitiello indicated that they would postpone <br />it. ' 1V1r. Rymarczyk questioned if there was any way the board could. proceed with it, <br />because there is an excavated area with a homeowner who is distressed. Mr. Puzzitiello <br />questioned how they were going to protect that hole and if the weather gets bad, how are <br />they going to protect the footers. Ms. Boger indicated that she would propose to have a <br />completely different company take over the building. She is not trying to avoid action; she <br />is just not prepared. Mr. Klesta questioned if this was just a big open hole in the ground <br />right now. Mr. Puzzitiello indicated that the footers are in and the foundation is partly up
