y / <br />1 / `~ <br />already plaqued. She then passed out samples of the old and new shingles. They want to go <br />to an Oak Ridge shingle. Mrs. Lord questioned if the Oak Ridge was less regular. Mrs. <br />Tabor replied that it is less regular, but it's more of the old version of the shingle. It is also a <br />40 yr. warranty shingle. Mr. Barker questioned when this house was built. Mrs. Tabor <br />indicated that the plaque suggests that it was built in 1880. Mrs. Lord indicated that the <br />metroscan form indicates 1900, but that is just an estimate. Mrs. Tabor replied that she <br />thinks it was built in 1893. When they replaced a wall upstairs in the house, the builder's <br />signature was on it and they tracked him down to find out. Mrs. Davis questioned what type <br />of roof it would be. Mr. Barker indicated that it was an Oak Ridge corning. <br />M. Davis motioned to grant a certificate of appropriateness to 1VIr. & Mrs. Pearson of 26944 <br />Butternut Ridge Itd. for their request for a new roof which is to be Owens Corning Oak <br />Ridge 40 that is quarry gray. P. Barker seconded the motion and was unanimously approved. <br />Certificate Granted 6/11/01. <br />IV. COMMUNICATIONS: <br />Mrs. Lord indicated that Council will be taking their vacation in August and the Landmarks <br />Commission should also take their vacation in August. <br />V. COMNIITTEE REPORTS: <br />Mrs. Lord indicated that the Mayor had asked the different boards and commissions to <br />brainstorm ideas for short and long term planning for the City of North Olmsted. Landmarks <br />has compiled a list of things they would like to see happen in the City. Mrs. Lord <br />commented that she would present the ideas at the next Mayor's meeting. She questioned if <br />anyone had any more ideas for the list. Board members gave a few more ideas and opinions. <br />VI. OLD BUSINESS: <br />Mrs. Lord indicated that the board needed to make a decision as to whether or not they would <br />sponsor the project that Mr. Copeland is going to start this summer with site students <br />working on it. <br />C. Kasler motioned to sponsor the Human Resources project. D. Lind seconded the motion <br />and was unanimously approved. <br />A. Smeraldi suggested that they change the meeting time from 7:30pm to 7:00pm. The board <br />inembers were all agreeable to this time change. Mrs. Kasler indicated that she would look <br />into this and see if the board is allowed to do this. <br />VII. ADJOURNMENT: <br />P. Barker motioned to adjourn the meeting. Seconded by M.
