.
has a relatively small yard and he wants to put a shed back there, but he does not want to take up too
much of the yard. Angling it in on that corner was the best way to keep as much yard space as possible.
Mr. Maloney commented that he thouaht Mr. Edmonds did a nice job with the design and layout of the
backyard. Mr. Konold agreed. The board had no further questions. Mr. Maloney called for a motion.
W. Kremzar motioned to grant 3oel Edmonds of 6155 Wild Oak Dr. his request for variance (1123.12).
Which consists of a shed and the following variances be granted:
l. A 3 foot variance for side lot line setback, (code requires 5 ft., applicant shows 2 ft.).
2. An 8 foot variance for rear lot line setback, (code requires 10 ft., applicant shows 2 ft.). Which is in
violation of Ord. 90-125 section, (1135.02 d-4). The motion was seconded by T. Koberna and
unanimously approved. Variances Granted 7/5/01.
3. 3ack Boss• 5495 Barton Road:
Request for variance (1123.12). The proposal consists of building a fence along a corner setback. The
following variances are requested:
l. A 30 inch variance for excess height of stone pillars at driveways, (code permits 30 inches, applicant
shows 60 inches).
2. A 6 inch variance for excess height of top rail of split rail fence, (code permits 30 inches, applicant
shows 36 inches).
Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125 section, (1135.02 f-1).
Chairman Maloney called all interested parties forward to review the request. The oath was administered
to Jack Boss, the owner, who came forward to review the request. Mr. Boss indicated that he is puttine.,
piers on both sides of the driveway. He showed pictures of what the piers would look like. The site plan
indicates where the piers are going to go around the yard. Mr. Maloney questioned if he would have
good vision to the surroundings when he would be backing out of the driveway. Mr. Boss replied yes, it
is way back from the road. He plans on placing them at least 5 ft. off the city walk and sidewalk so he
does not interfere with any utilities. The board had no further questions. Mr. Maloney called for a
motion.
J. Konold motion to grant Jack Boss of 5495 Barton Rd. his request for variance (1123.12). Which
consists of building a fence along a corner setback and that the following variances are granted:
1. A 30 inch variance for excess height of stone pillars at driveways, (code permits 30 inches, applicant
shows 60 inches).
2. The proposal consists of a shed.
The following variance is requested: _
A 58 square foot variance for over 2% of rear yard coverage, (code permits 62 sq. ft., applicant shows
120 sq. ft.). Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125 section, (1135.02 d-1).
Chairman Maloney called all interested parties forward to review the request. The oath was administered
to Branden Reber, the owner, who came forward to review the request. Mr. Maloney questioned if he
could explain the chosen location for the shed. Mr. Reber indicated that the shed would be on the west
side of the property and the north side of the lot. The inspector came out and he indicated that there
really should be no problem getting a variance for a 10 ft. x 12 ft. shed. The board had no further
questions. Mr.1Vlaloney called for a motion.
2
