This board has been asked to make a decision on this addition <br />without any samples, material lists, adequate site elevations or adequate pictures. If this board approves <br />this simple project which he does not have a problem with it will set an example to others that in adequate <br />submittals are o.k. Mr. Yager questioned the painting of the block as the front of the building is painted <br />block as well. Mr. Mertes indicated that the front is galvanized panels with white backed enamel. Mr. <br />Yager questioned if there had been any complaints regarding the site about the upkeep of the painting. <br />Mi-. Rymarczyk indicated that he was not aware of any complaints against the site. Mr. Mertes suggested <br />that the Planning Commission asked for a fence along the backside of the lot to protect the neighbors. <br />Mr. Zergott indicated there are a lot of weeds along the south property line that needed to be cleaned up. <br />He questioned if the owner would be willing to add landscaping to the site. The flower boxes need to <br />have something,planted in them other then plastic flowers. He questioned if there was a separate code for <br />storage AIr. Rymarczyk indicated that depending on how big of a storage area dictates whether or not a <br />sprinkler system is required. Mr. Liggett questioned how high the addition would be. Mr. Mertes <br />commented that the addition would be below the existing roof. Further discussion took place regarding <br />the height of the building and what would need to be removed for the addition. Mr. Liggett suggested <br />that the property line needed to be cleaned up. Mr. Yager indicated that the addition is a very simple <br />addition and he is more concerned about the landscaping that needs to be done to improve the site. <br />M. Yager motioned to approve Braulio Roldan (Roldan's Car Service) of 23055 Lorain Road which <br />consists of adding a Sunroom/Storage to the existing structure. With the following comments; 1) The <br />landscaping in the flower boxes be revised and submitted to the City and approved by chairman Zergott. <br />2) The materials are to match the white paint and the windows match the existing windows in terms of <br />color, texture and size. The roof is also to match the existing roof in color, texture and size. 3) The <br />property lines need to be improved with landscaping and the chairman will discuss what should be done <br />with the owner. The motion was seconded by T. Liggett and unanimously approved. Motion Carried. <br />Note: In the framing of the motion Mr. Mertes was advised to submit complete plans and to have the <br />plans reviewed by a professional architect to make sure what is requesting to be done is within code. <br />Mr. Ryrnarczyk indicated that the applicant lacked quite a bit of information on his plans. Lighting would <br />need to be looked at as well as the state requirements. 1VIr. Yager advisecY Mr. Mertes what needed to be <br />looked at to inake sure complete plans are submitted and strongly suggested that a registered drafting <br />architect be hired to draw a complete set of plans. <br />VI.
