?
City of North Olmsted
Board of 2oning and Appeals
5200 Dover Center Rd
North Olmsted OH, 44070
Chairman J. Maloney
'Ec
s
4/30/03
Mr. Chairman,
My wife and I cannot attend the public hearing on 5101103
concerning the variance request submitted by IVdotorcars 27500 Lorain as we will be
working that evening. Living next to Motorcars these past 13 years we wouid like to
make some comments concerning tliis property that abuts ours. We believe first off that
there are too many signs on Lorain Rd. already, we do not know exactly what a"wall
sign" is but more signage is something Narth Olmsted certainly does not need. And we
are most vehemently against anything that rnay contain lighting as the parlcing lot at
Motorcars is VERY brightly lit with quite a bit of bleed over to our property, in fact,
there is a bright spotlight that shines directly into my backyard that enables me to cut my
grass at night should I chose, I guess this must be for the people that want to look at cars
at 4AM. And during the day, we can sit in our backyard and listen to music pipea out to
the lot on the loud speakers. We can say however that the phone no longer rings loudiy
on the loud speakers. In the past we think that Motorcars has been deceptive in their quest
to build a used car facility, and we hope that Motorcars is not involved in the recent
property sale on Porter Rd to ffurrther this agenda. In closing, we wish Motarcars all
success, and as a neighbor we can't complain too much, but we opposa all additional
signage or lighting and we would like it to be recorded as such in the meeting minutes
please. r
David and Michelle Meadows
5117 Porter Rd.
