The applicant stated the 4 x 4 posts are desired on the outside of the fence for stability <br />so that the animals will not push it over., Mr. Engoglia asked the applicant if he is <br />willing to go along with this and the applicant stated that he would prefer the 4 x 4 <br />posts because it is stronger and more secure than steel posts, furthermore, the cost is an <br />additional $4000. <br /> <br />After further discussion, Mr. O'Malley indicated to the Board that it seems lilce the <br />second variance request still remains and does not appear that the applicant is prepared <br />to withdraw it. Mr. O'Malley recommends,that the Board to approve the variances as <br />described as written. As Mr. Conway explained, the applicant cannot have a <br />combination of two types of fence without a variance. <br />Mr. Engoglia motion to deny variance #1 and 3 and the applicant conform with the <br />code of all metal or all wood fence. If the metal fence is installed, the wood posts must <br />be eliminated. Mr. Conway seconded the motion, which was unanimously approved. <br />Mr. O'Malley ask the Chairman if he meant to grant the variance? Mr. Engoglia said <br />the motion was not granted. Mr. Engoglia motion to approve variance #2 as written, Mr. Conway seconded the <br />motion, which was denied unanimously. <br />V. ADJOURNMENT <br />P. Engoglia motion to adjourn the meeting.
