1'I. COlViMITTEE REPORTS <br />Chairman Lang will ]lold onto program and application information from the Ohio Historical <br />Preservation office, State programs, and Federal programs. He stated he has a family member who <br />works for The National Trust putting together information showing the different funding sources <br />available. Last month, Commission members broke up into information sessions for all members <br />present to review the commission's archives. They walked around the building and familiarized <br />themselves with Landmarks archives in the basement and the contents of the filing cabinet drawers. <br />The committee's purpose is to organize these archives. Mr. Lang questioned if any committee had <br />time to meet or start a report. He recommended the two members of each of the committees contact <br />each other over the course of the next month to set up a time to meet to discuss their goals. The <br />education committee is to provide education to the community in regards to landmarks and <br />preservation. He questioned if Mr. Barker and Mr. Koeth were in charge of the committee for the <br />annual report and budget. Both members acknowledged Mr. Lang was correct. He questioned who <br />the members of the plaquing and documentation committees were. Mrs. Lord indicated she was on <br />survey and archives committee. Mr. Rerko is on the survey committee. Mr. Lang reviewed what the <br />survey committee is responsible for. He suggested that there is a Lustron home in the community <br />and suggested the commission needs to educate the owners of the property as to the value of their <br />home in terms of its historic nature and possibly persuade them to have their home plaqued. The <br />historical community iieeds to be aware that there is low cost financing available to them for home <br />improvements through the County Wide Health Program for qualifying homeowners. <br />NTII.OLD BUSINESS: <br />Mrs. Lord reviewed tliat she attended the Council meeting in which retired board member Lois <br />VanAuken was presented a proclamation. She reviewed that Mrs. VanAuken expressed that she was <br />very pleased and made a few eloquent remarks. Mrs. Lord indicated that Mrs. VanAuken still has the <br />slide projector and slides and would like to continue to be a part of sharing the word with the <br />committee. <br />Chairman Lang mentioned that last months minutes indicated that Mr. Crabs wanted to share black <br />and white photographs that he had with the Landmarks Commission. Mrs. Lord met with Mr. Crabs <br />and obtained the photographs and currently Fairview Photo is processing them onto a CD and <br />printing 2 8 x 10 black and whites and 1 8 x 10 print. The photos are aerial photos from 1965 and <br />1967 of his land and surrounding area. <br />VIII. ADJOURNMENT: <br />J. Lang moved to adjourn the meeting. P.
