W. Kremzar motion to grant Laketec Communications of (PP# 235-07-009,010), 27881 Lorain Road <br />their request for variance (1123.12), wluch consists of a ground sign and that the following variances <br />are granted as amendedt <br />1. A variance for New ground sign (pole type), (see note 91), (code permits none, applicant shows 1), <br />section (1163.3). <br />2. A variance for installing pole sign in 35 foot triangle, (code does not permit, applicant shows sign <br />in triangle), section (1163.17 (A)). <br />Wluch is in violation of Ord. 90-125 sections, (1163.3), (1163.17 (A)), and (1163.26 (B)). N. Sergi <br />seconded the motion, which was unanimously approved. Variances Granted <br />Discussion of storing cars on site: <br />The owner invited the residents to come to the site to see the improvements he is making on the site and he <br />will not allow semi trucks or tractor-trailers on the site ever. The residents questioned if there would be <br />lights left on all night, lights added, or outside speakers. The owner assured the residents that there would <br />be no more lights added. He will be using the building as office space, some customer traffic to sale <br />communication equipment, a Leasing Company and Real Estate Company. There is some warehouse <br />storage to maintain their stock but basic hours of operation will be 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be 80 <br />to 100 cars stored on the site. The board felt that it would be hard for the city to control the movement of <br />cars on the site. The board requested a fence be put in place to control the access to the cars. Building <br />Commissioner remarked that there are laws, which govem times of deliveries. However, it is always an on <br />going issue trying to enforce the code. The applicant agreed to place a gate in the back to block access to <br />the cars at night. . <br />N. A use variance for parking & storage of cars, (code does not permit, <br />applicant shows storage of cars). A gate is to be installed that can be locked. Tractor trailers or <br />semi's are not allowed on the lot Access to cars are not before 7:30 am and not after 7:00 p.m at <br />night. Wluch is in violafion of Ord. 90-125 section, (1139.01 (b)). W. Kremzar seconded the motion, <br />wluch was unanimously approved. Variance Granted <br />AT THIS POINT IN THE MEETING, THE BOARD CALLED A 10-NIINUTE RECESS. <br />? <br />16. Dunkin Donuts/ Baskin Robbins; (PP# 237-09-005) Clauge Road: (WRD 2) <br />A. Request an appeal of the Building Commissioner's determination that the proposed Dunkin <br />DonutsBaskin Robbins is a restaurant, section (1123.07). <br />B. Request for variance (1123.12). The proposal consists of a NEW DEVELOPMENT. <br />The following variances are requested: <br />1. A.4286 acre variance for lot size (code requires 1.5 acre, applicant shows 1.0714 acre). <br />Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125 section (1161.12 (e)). <br />C. Request for variance (1123.12). The proposal consists of WALL & GROUND SIGNS. <br />The following variances are requested: <br />1. A variance for additional ground signs (code pernuts 1, applicant shows 2), section (1163.26 (a)).
