Recreation Commission Meeting
November 4, 2002

Recreation Department had a leak in the flat roof recently, which was repaired. Mr. Stein puts in
a request at the end of every year for money, but there’s never enough to go around, and nothing
constructive happens. It all needs to be addressed. He can go back to 1978 with problems that
were never addressed, and that’s why the Recreation Department is in the shape it’s in with repair
problems such as the leaking roof and the collapsing pool. Once the new Commissioner is hired,
Mr. Stein will list priorities once more. The pool gets worse every year. The baby pool is cited by
the Health Department every year. The frost has taken its toll on the pools. The pools are
patched every year. All of our problems have been ongoing for many years. We know that, as
Mr. Limpert says, “there’s nothing wrong with that pool that a new pool wouldn’t fix.”

OLD BUSINESS

Reviewed as New Business.

MOTION TO ADJOURN

After concluding discussion with Ms. Drenski and Mr. Stein on the present condition of the
Recreation Department, Ms. Hayes called for a Motion to Adjourn. Mr. Gareau made a motion
to adjourn, Mr. Kelley seconded the motion. All were in favor; motion passed.

Meeting adjourned at 8:10 p.m. (not stated on taped minutes)

NOTE: TRANSCRIBED BUT NOT PROOFED.

Page 5
