Mr. Crider
stated he was at the meeting with Ms. Thomas, stating he was interested in the Skate Park and would
like to know how the Rec Department would be going forward with it. Mr. Viergutz introduced
himself and said he was concerned because he saw the various prints presented at the meeting at the
High School and did not see a provision for a Skate Park.

Mr. DiSalvo addressed the situation: he had a conversation with Rae Ann (Thomas) last week. She
expressed concern that every plan that has been shown has not included the Skate Park. The
Commissioner said that, unbeknown to him, he had no idea how many donations it took to build the
present Skate Park behind the Rec Center. For some reason, he thought it was around $25,000. Ms.
Thomas confirmed that the Skate Park took quite a few donations. Mr. DiSalvo said that Ms. Thomas
informed him that the donations were around $150,000 to $160,000. With that information received
from Rae Ann, the Commissioner immediately contacted John Dailey and others at City Hall informing
them that much went into the Skate Park as far as donations and that the Skate Park is not being
included in the Plans. The City officials contacted the architects and, in any future plans, the Skate
Park will be included. Rest assured, the Skate Park will be maintained. There are no plans to do away
with it or disregard it. The main point is that it will be included in the site plans whenever
