Minutes of a Special Meeting of
The North Olmsted Parks and Recreation Commission
March 18, 2006
Page Four

year, and in the proposed budget, is then only $5,000 higher than what the current actual turned out to
be. Mr. DiSalvo replied that yes, this was true. Mr. Lasko said that what Mr. Baxter has already
indicated, the Rec Department is basically, for all practical purposes, maintaining the status quo.

It was noted that the increase was probably due to the four and a half percent raise of the employees.
$5,000 on the basis of a $2,300,000 budget is nothing.

Mr. Terbrack pointed out that the funds from the Rec Master Plan are not showing on the expense
sheets. Those funds are actually in the Safety Director’s Budget for safekeeping. That way, there will
be no temptation to use the funds in the event of an emergency (which has happened in the past). That
amount is $35,000.

Mr. Lasko made a Motion to approve the projected Budget for the City of North Olmsted Parks and
Recreation Department for 2006; Mr. Barker seconded. Mr. Kelley said that Motion has been made
to approve the Budget as written and opened the floor to questions. There being none, all
Commission members signified by an aye that they accepted the Motion, and the Motion passed

unanimously. A copy of the signed Agreement to the above Motion is attached hereto.

Mr. Barker thanked the Members of the Commission for attending this Special Meeting.

ADJOURNMENT OF MEETING

Upon Motion duly made, seconded and unanimously approved, the meeting adjourned at
10:00 a.m.

Accepted and Approved:

____________________________________
William D. Kelley, Chairman

____________________________________
Judith A. Ptacek-Roche, Secretary

Date: _______________________________

Page 4
