Minutes of a Meeting of the
North Olmsted Parks and Recreation Commission
May 5, 2008

successful: what have been the programming things that have been fully attended that have had a
significant amount of attendance and utilization, and you’re going to say that this is something to look
at. It’s a good point and an interesting observation.

Mr. Baxter said that one thing he noticed wasn’t being said at the meeting by many of the people who
spoke, and much of the emphasis we have for the new Rec Center is going to be fitness, and not many
people got up and said (maybe they did at the second meeting but not at the first) speaking about why
they wanted fitness. Mr. Baxter’s feeling is that there are a lot of people out there who would
appreciate having fitness, and they are not going to talk about because that’s not something that they
have now. His feeling is that it was left out of the meeting because it’s not presently something that
we have.

Mr. Groden asked if there were any other questions or comments.

This concluded the report of the Community Life Services Director.

OLD BUSINESS

None

NEW BUSINESS

None

ADJOURNMENT OF MEETING

After Motion duly made, seconded, and unanimously approved, the meeting adjourned at
7:40 p.m. The next scheduled meeting of the North Olmsted Parks and Recreation
Commission will be June 2, 2008.

Accepted and Approved:

______________________________________________
Terry Groden, Chairperson

______________________________________________
Judith A.
