MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE NORTH OLMSTED CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION <br />February 16, 1978 <br />Present were Commissioners Harry Malone, Walter Spalding, and Secretary James Kline. <br />Motion by Harry Malone, seconded by Walter Spalding that the regular minutes <br />of December 15, 1977 and the Special Minutes of December 5, 1977 be approved <br />as submitted. <br />Passed. <br />The Civil Service Commission did not meet on January 27, 1978 due to weather <br />conditions. A regular meeting was held on February 16, 1978 for both months <br />of January and February. <br />Correspondence: <br />1. Letters from Marion R. Taylor, Chief of Police, City of North Olmsted: <br />(a) December 29, 1977 - advising Commission of Patrolman Kodey's death. <br />(b) January 5, 1978 - George E. Ruple & Robert Dunsic successful <br />. completion of probationary period. <br />(c) January 23, 1978 - Appointment of Stephen W. Wolf as patrolman. <br />(d) January 24, 1978 - Bypassing of Larry Begin for patrolman -- <br />appointed at Brunswick. <br />(e) February 14, 1978 - A request concerning the physical requirements <br />of Anthony Manning for patrolman. <br />2. Letters from Ernie Zoldesy, General Manager, North Olmsted Bus Line, <br />advising the Commission of personnel changes and actions:• <br />(a) February 3 - five-day suspension of Kenneth Moss, Bus Operator. <br />(b) December 19 - five-day suspension of Donald Livingston, Bus Operator. <br />3. Letters from Joseph Corrigan, Service Director advising the Commission of <br />employee personnel changes. <br />4. Letter sent to Chief Taylor, January 24, 1978 submitting eligible names <br />from the certified patrolman's list. <br />5: Letter from Margaret Hill, February 15, 1978, Secretary, North Olmsted <br />Schools, requesting the Civil Service Commission to re-classify administra- <br />tive secretaries who are employees of the North Olmsted Board of Education. <br />
