May 12 - Civil. Service Commissions of Berea, Lakewood, Parma <br />requesting information concerning selection of <br />Engineering Department. -personnel <br />May 12 - Mr. Wilbur Eaton III, informing of error in score <br />and rank of certified list for fireman <br />May 12 - Mr. Robert Storch, approval of non -classified status <br />for position of Library Technician <br />May 12 - Chief Bement, inviting him to attend meeting on May 22 <br />May '12 - Mr. Robert Storch, requesting job descriptions for <br />Cafeteria Supervisor and Assistant Cook <br />May 12 - Mr. Dewey Limpert, President, City Council, requesting <br />consideration for new pay schedule for Clerk -Typist <br />for Police Department <br />May 12 - Mr. Ronald Zurawski, City Engineer, requesting further <br />information concerning qualifications for Chief <br />Inspector, Inspector and Draftsman and inviting him <br />to attend May 22 meeting <br />Motion by Roger Alexander, seconded by Walter Spalding that the <br />following bills be submitted for payment: <br />To City Finance Department: <br />McCann Associates $851.45 <br />Patrolman Exam <br />To Board of Education: <br />McCann Associates $571..58 <br />Maintenance Mechanic Exam <br />Passed. <br />Correspondence from Mr. Storch regarding new positions was <br />discussed. Immediate provisional appointments may be made for <br />these positions. Classification of the positions was discussed <br />at some length. Motion by Roger Alexanderg seconded by Walter <br />Spalding, that the positions of Associate Mechanic and Master <br />Mechanic be made classified -competitive. <br />Passed. <br />Mr. Storch will be contacted to see what type of examination <br />Drocedures he thinks would be most appropriate. The Municipal <br />Bus Line will be contacted to determine how the hiring of <br />mechanics is handled by them. A decision of the classification <br />of Coordinator of Transportation/Operations and Associate <br />Coordinator - Special Education Transportation/Driver was <br />deferred until after the Secretary discusses these positions <br />with Mr. Storch. <br />Mr. Zurawski, City Engineer, and the Commissioners discussed <br />testing procedures and alternatives to be used in the hiring <br />Inspector and Draftsman. Mr. Zurawski will <br />of Chief Inspector, <br />call McCann's and discuss job descriptions and qualifications <br />
