2 <br />The secretary announced that the follotaing examinations have been scheduled. <br />Draftsman <br />Physical agility Por Firefighter <br />Radio dispatcher <br />Assistant cook <br />Supervisor cook <br />Inspector <br />Clerical assistant <br />The vacancy in the position of Assistant Chief in the Fire Department was <br />discussed. The secretary was instructed to write a letter to the President <br />of City Council inquiring about Council's intention to abolish this position. <br />If there is no ordinance to abolish the position in the immediate future, <br />an examination will be scheduled. - <br />The Commissioners then deliberated the findings of the hearings on the <br />appeal of Patrolman Charles Jandecka. Each of the charges presented <br />by the Safety Director were cruled upon separately. <br />�1•:' CONDUCT UNBECOMING AN OFFICER, 15 day suspension <br />The Commissioners found Patrolman Jandecka guilty and upheld the <br />15 day suspension. <br />2. RESPONSIBILITY OF OFF-DUTY OFFICER, 5 day suspension <br />The Commissioners found Patrolman Jandecka not guilty. <br />3.� INCOMPETENCE, 5 day suspension <br />The Commissioners found Patrolman Jandecka guilty and upheld the <br />5 day suspension <br />4. USE OF WEAPONS, 5 day suspension <br />The Commissioners found Patrolman.
