CITY OF NORTH OLMSTE® <br />CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION <br />NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO <br />Minutes of the regular meeting of the North Olmsted Civil Service Commission held <br />on October 23, 1980. <br />Present were Commissioners Roger Alexander and Walter Spalding and Secretary <br />Judy Wise. Also in attendance were Captain Smith and Captain Van Kuren of 'the <br />Fire Department and Eugene Petre, Safety Director. <br />Motion by Roger Alexander, seconded by Walter Spalding, that the minutes of the <br />previous meeting be amended as follows: <br />1. CONDUCT UNBECOMING AN OFFICER. Fifteen(15) day suspension with an <br />additional fif teeen(15) days be suspended on condition of good behavior <br />and no further disciplinary action for one (1) year. <br />2. INCOMPETENCE. Five (5) day suspension with an additional five (5) <br />days be suspended on condition of good behavior and no further <br />disciplinary action for Dne (1) year. <br />Passed. <br />Correspondence received: <br />Oct. 10 - Stan Urycki, results of examination for Draftsman <br />Oct. 13 - Ken Mues, General Manager, Municipal Bus Line, informing of disciplinary <br />action against bus operator, David Sapp <br />Oct. 14 - Joseph Corrigan, Service Director, informing of personnel changes <br />Oct. 15 - Ronald Zurawski, City Engineer, regarding the informing of personnel <br />changes <br />Oct. 16 - Mrs. Hildegard Munch, Cafeteria employee, regarding her position (response <br />Made by telephone) <br />Oct. 17 - Clifford DiNunzio, Operations Supervisor, Municipal Bus Line, informing <br />of disciplinary action against bus operator, Charles Rawson <br />Oct. 17 - Chief Taylor, termination of employment of dispatcher, Teresa Wozniak <br />Oct. 20 - Dr. Stuart Berger, Superintendent of Schools, completion of probationary <br />period of several employees <br />Oct. 20 - Dewey Limpert, President of Council, response to letter of October 13 <br />Oct. 21 - Robert Storch, Assistant Superintendent of Schools, regarding new <br />position of Duplicating Equipment Operator <br />Oct. 23 - Eugene Petre, Safety Director, intention of Mayor to introduce legis- <br />lation to abolish position of Assistant Fire Chief - also request to <br />consider other sources for promotional examinations for police and fire <br />departments <br />Correspondence sent: <br />Oct. 13 - McCann Associates, regarding.availability of exam for Secretary for <br />school system <br />Oct. 13 - Paul Mancino, Attorney for Charles Jandecka, regarding disposition of <br />appeal <br />Oct. 13 - Michael Graeau, Law Director, regarding disposition of appeal of <br />Charles Jandecka <br />Oct. 13 - Dewey Limpert, President,of Council, regarding position of Assistant <br />Fire Chief \ <br />
