a1 , <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTE® <br />CIVIL SGRVICE COMMISSION <br />NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO <br />2 <br />The Secretary reported that she had been contacted by the E.E.O.C. regarding <br />the age limitation in the advertisement for the examination for patrolman. <br />The Board of Education has filed an appeal regarding the termination of <br />William Schneider and the secretary was requested to file the transcript of <br />the record of the hearing. The Commission instructed the secretary to discuss <br />this matter with the attorney for the Board of Education and request him to <br />obtain the transcript from the Court Reporter at the.3xpense of the Board. <br />The Secretary reported that she had discussed procedures for physical <br />agility testing with a representative from another city. She recommended <br />that an initial physical agility exam be administered to only the top twenty <br />cnadidates from the written exam. At the time that there are only five <br />remining names on the certified list who have passed the physical agility <br />exam, additional candidates would be tested. Motion by Roger Alexander, <br />seconded by Walter Spalding, that this porcedure be adopted. <br />Passed. <br />A request from Mr. Petre for a copy of all amendments to the Rules and <br />Regulations was discussed. The Secretary will inform Ms.Petre that all <br />changes and additions are reported in the minutes but that these amendments <br />have never been compiled into a single document. <br />The Secretary reported that Gary Nichols from McCanns had informed her that <br />the examination for Patrolman to be used this time is a new form which has <br />been updated to conform with the current guidelines. <br />Mr. StorctL discussed possible testing alternatives for the position of <br />Systems Operator -MIS with the Commission.
