OLMSTE® <br />CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION <br />NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO <br />MINUTES <br />AUGUST 26, 1982 <br />The monthly meeting of the North Olmsted Civil Service was <br />called to order at 7:15 P. M. on August 26, .1982. In atten- <br />dance were Commissioners Walter Spa.l.din.g and. Rgger. Alexander. <br />Also attending was the Civil Service Secretary, Patricia Bahas <br />and guest, Gene Petre,Director of the North Olmsted Safety <br />Services, who arrived after the business portion of .the meet-. <br />ing had been concluded. In attendaneg also was Dr.. Philip <br />D. Huffman and Mayor Robert Swietynio"ki who later administer- <br />ed the oath to Dr. Huffman as the third member of the North <br />Olmsted Civil Service -Commission. <br />Minutes <br />Minutes of the July Monthly meeting of the North OLmsted Civil <br />Service Commission were approved as read by Commissioners,Walter <br />Spalding and Roger Alexander. <br />Corresbondence <br />Correspondence recei ve-d and sarr� can be found on the attached <br />sheet. <br />None. <br />Old Business <br />New Business <br />1. Suggestion made to henceforth refer to the $10.00 fee re- <br />quirement for the entry-level Fireman -Paramedic examination <br />Test as a "processing fee". <br />Commissioners Mr. Spalding and Mr. Alexander approved. <br />2.Notification of �a substantial deficit in the Civil Service <br />Account made to the Commission members. Mr. Spalding direct- <br />ed the Secretary to make the following requests: <br />Financial up -date from the Finance Director show- <br />ing current status <br />Revenue allocation from "processing fees" to the <br />Civil Service Account <br />Increase by Council of the -remuneration that Comm- <br />ission Members receive for their services <br />Informal Comments <br />Review of the circumstances by Mr. Petre that led to the. <br />Yc ' <br />�-r� 6� requirement of paramedic training and the term, <br />Fireman -Paramedic as the accepted name for the position. <br />Administration of the Oath <br />Dr. Philip D. Hzffman was sworn in at 8:15 P. M. by Mayor <br />Robert Swie,tynio�ski as the third Commission. <br />Adjournment <br />Motion was made by Mr. Alexander and seconded by Mr..Spalding <br />to adjourn the meeting. Motion passed. <br />
