Physical Qualifying Test for Firefighter." Chief VanKuren expressed his
concern over -the twenty candidate limit for the Firefighter's physical
qualifying test. He pointed out to Commission members that not all twenty
candidates would show up for the examination and of those who did take the
test, there could be some who would not pass. Because of these two factors,
the number remaining could be insufficient to fulfill the employment needs
over the next two years. Responding to the chief's concerns, the Commission
directed the Secretary to order tests for the, top 30 candidates rather than
20.
